Paragliding at the Tetovo mountain in North Macedonia is a fantastic activity, perfect for those looking for adrenaline and adventures: flying above the mountains in the Balkans and enjoying the thrill of being in a harness suspended in the sky. The view is great and the experience definitely worth it.
How to organize your Paragliding adventure in North Macedonia?
I did a road trip around North Macedonia and Kosovo for a week in October 2018. Searching around for some adrenaline activities to do in North Macedonia, I found out paragliding is a big thing there. They picked me and my friends up in the center of Skopje in the morning. They drove us to the Tetovo mountain, about an hour away. We got all geared up and ready to fly.
Paragliding: crossing it off my bucket list!
It was really fun to fly above the mountain and I could enjoy some fantastic views. We flew for 15-20 minutes, before making our way back to the jumping spot, nicely landing.
I suggest you not to drink much the night before and to have a light meal the morning of the flight. Your stomach will be moving up and down and you don’t want to puke when paragliding!
If you have never paraglided before, do it on your trip in North Macedonia. The guys running it are very cool and professional, plus it is super cheap. I remember we paid about 60 € each included the transportation to Tetovo and back, and the activity.
